Two dedicated professionals are needed to fill essential roles—one for a middle school self-contained classroom and another for a high school self-contained setting. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher license/certification for the state
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Experience working in self-contained classrooms at the middle or high school level
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Collaborative mindset for teamwork with general educators, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Compassionate, adaptable, and student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and academic support to students in a self-contained setting
- Develop and adapt individualized education plans and modify curriculum as needed
- Track and report on student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with other educators, related service providers, and family members
- Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to address a range of learning and behavioral needs
- Maintain documentation and meet compliance requirements
