Special Education Teacher | Midland, Georgia

Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting that values innovation and collaboration. This contract opportunity is based onsite and offers a full-time schedule working with K-2 students in an Inclusion Co-Teaching environment. You’ll be partnering with a general education teacher to deliver personalized support to a caseload averaging 15 students, helping every child access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience or strong interest in early childhood or elementary grades, especially K-2
• Proven ability to adapt and modify curriculum for diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Exceptional teamwork and communication skills
• Compassion, patience, and creativity when engaging with students
• Previous experience in a co-teaching or inclusion setting is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with general education teachers to co-deliver instruction in the classroom
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s goals and needs
• Employ differentiated teaching strategies to support student learning and progress
• Track and report on student achievement and behavior
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all special education requirements
• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and positive classroom environment
