Special Education Teacher in Midland, GA

This contracted opportunity focuses on middle school grades 6-8 in a self-contained classroom (serving students who do not have severe disabilities), with a manageable caseload of just 10 students. There may also be an exciting opportunity for an elementary inclusion setting, working with K-2 students, with a current caseload of 13.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid Georgia teaching certificate with Special Education Adapted Curriculum endorsement required
• Experience working in Special Education, particularly in self-contained or inclusion settings
• Familiarity with middle grades (6-8) or elementary grades (K-2)
• Understanding of IEP development and goal monitoring
• Comfortable creating and implementing individualized learning strategies
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Flexibility, creative problem solving, and a passion for guiding diverse learners to success
