Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Familiarity with differentiated instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Proficiency in classroom management and behavioral intervention techniques

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging lessons, adapting content to meet individual student needs
• Develop, implement, and track progress of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide ongoing feedback to families
