Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, compassionate, and committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional areas tailored to student goals.

Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support student success in inclusive settings.

Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and inform instruction.

Communicate effectively with families and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support.

Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with IDEA and state guidelines.

Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities.
Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.

Valid State Teaching Certification in Special Education (e.g., K–12, Mild/Moderate, Severe/Profound, or appropriate endorsement).
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Special Education or related area.
Experience working with diverse learners and using evidence-based instructional strategies.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
