You’ll manage a small, fluctuating caseload of around 10 students, providing both instruction and behavioral support. Your specialized expertise will be invaluable as you partner with families, paraprofessionals, and other educators to ensure every child receives individualized, high-quality education and care.

Qualifications & Desired Attributes:

  • Valid Delaware Early Childhood Special Education certification
  • Experience working with preschool-age children (ages 3–5) with diverse disabilities
  • Skill in responding to and supporting students with challenging or negative behaviors
  • Genuine passion for Early Childhood Special Education and commitment to this age group
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing student needs and caseloads

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored for preschool learners
  • Use evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies
  • Maintain routine progress monitoring and adjust support as needed
  • Foster an inclusive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
