Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, active Massachusetts Special Education teaching license
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with middle school students, preferably in an 8th-grade setting
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Dedication to fostering an engaging, supportive classroom for students with diverse learning needs
• Passion for developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and support 8th-grade students with a range of special education needs
• Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs to ensure alignment with student goals
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to accommodate various learning styles
• Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and relevant trainings
