Special Education Teacher in Millers Creek, NC

In this in-person role, you’ll serve as an Exceptional Children (EC) teacher with a unique split between a middle and high school, focusing on inclusion and resource services. Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid North Carolina Teaching License with certification for Middle or High School
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher within a school setting
• Proficiency in inclusion/resource instructional strategies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
• Support students in both inclusion and resource settings to promote positive academic and behavioral outcomes
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for integrated lesson planning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Engage with families to communicate student progress and advocate for effective supports
