Special Ed Teacher | Millsboro, Delaware

This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced Special Education Teachers to support young learners with diverse needs in a school setting located in Millsboro, DE. The roles are designed for educators who hold an Early Childhood Special Education license in Delaware and are passionate about making a positive impact on children ages 3 to 5 years with various disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to a caseload averaging 10 students with all types of disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and other professionals to promote student growth and success.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and team members.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that encourages development and engagement.

Qualifications:

• Valid Early Childhood Special Education license issued by the state of Delaware.
• Experience working with young children (ages 3-5) with a variety of disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral interventions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage fluctuating caseloads and adapt to changing student needs.

• Hours per week: One position at 37.5 hours; second position at 29 hours
