Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Credential (or eligibility for certification in California)
  • Previous experience working with ESN (Extensive Support Needs) or similar specialized settings is highly preferred
  • Deep understanding of creating and implementing IEPs, modifications, and adaptive strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families
  • Creative problem-solver with strong classroom management abilities
  • Genuine commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized academic instruction and behavioral supports to students with extensive support needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, and families
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications
  • Utilize evidence-based practices for instruction, data collection, and progress monitoring
  • Foster a nurturing classroom where students’ growth and engagement are prioritized
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations
