Special Education Teacher | Milton, Vermont

Qualifications:

• Current state certification as a Special Education Teacher, including Vermont endorsement or eligibility for Vermont endorsement.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Enthusiasm for creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload.
• Adapt curriculum to suit diverse learning styles and needs, ensuring academic and social success.
• Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and document growth effectively.
• Work closely with families, general education teachers, and support staff for holistic student support.
• Provide engaging instruction and promote positive behavior interventions.
• Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal requirements.
