K-5 Elementary Special Education Teacher - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

We are seeking a proactive professional, passionate about individualized support and collaborative teaching, to serve as a Moderate/Severe ISE Specialist within an elementary school setting.

In this contract role, you’ll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Your skills will be crucial in guiding students from Kindergarten through 5th grade, shaping their educational journey and enhancing their daily learning experiences.

Qualifications:

• Valid state teaching license with appropriate Special Education credentials
• Certification in Special Education, focused on elementary (K-5) populations
• Experience or strong interest in working with moderate to severe caseloads
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, families, and support staff
• Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Assess, plan, and implement strategies to support students’ academic and behavioral goals
• Maintain accurate records and timely documentation of student progress and IEP requirements
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding progress, concerns, and strategies
• Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students
