Elementary Licensed Special Education Teacher in Milwaukee, WI

Make a meaningful impact working as a moderate/severe ISE Specialist with an elementary caseload. In this role, you’ll support students in grades K-5 in a welcoming, inclusive environment near Milwaukee, WI. Qualifications:

• Valid and active state teaching license (required for consideration)
• Certification in Special Education, with experience in moderate/severe needs preferred
• Previous elementary school classroom experience (K-5 strongly desired)
• Comprehensive understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and behavioral support for students with moderate/severe needs
• Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with students’ unique learning goals
• Design and adapt lessons that reflect state curriculum and best practices in special education
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with parents, teachers, and support staff
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and advocacy
• Track progress, assess outcomes, and make recommendations for instructional adjustments
• Work collaboratively with related service providers and attend applicable meetings
