A school district in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher specializing in Moderate to Severe disabilities for an elementary caseload. This contract position involves working Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, supporting students in grades K-5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with moderate to severe disabilities.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure effective student support.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters growth and independence.

Qualifications:

  • Active and valid state teaching license with certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children (grades K-5) in a special education setting.
  • Knowledge of best practices for Moderate/Severe disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Location:

  • Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time contract position
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
