Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid and current teaching license for the state
  • Special Education teaching certification (elementary focus preferred)
  • Experience with moderate and severe ISE (Individualized Special Education) needs
  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators, families, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and adapt instructional materials and methods tailored to each student’s needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress and adjust strategies as needed
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse abilities in a classroom setting
  • Collaborate regularly with parents, teachers, and specialists to ensure all students receive appropriate support
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school policies and special education regulations
