Special Education Teacher - Minneapolis, MN

Several contract opportunities are available for passionate Special Education Teachers to serve in diverse settings, ranging from autism programs to homebound instruction. These positions run through June 11, 2026, at different schools within the St. Paul area, providing a chance to work closely with students and help them succeed.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Minnesota teaching license in special education
• Experience with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), early childhood special education (ECSE), developmental cognitive disabilities (DCD), or similar student populations preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to maintain thorough documentation and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Compassion, patience, and dedication to helping each student achieve their full potential

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction based on students’ individual needs across a variety of settings, including Setting 1-4 classrooms, itinerant locations, and homebound environments
• Manage caseloads ranging from 4 to 19 students, depending on assignment (Autism, ECSE, DCD, or general SPED)
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
• Partner with school staff and families to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Provide ongoing documentation and timely communication
• Attend trainings, staff meetings, and professional development as required
