Special Education Teacher - Minneapolis, MN

This contract role will run through June 11, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week serving a diverse range of students across multiple campuses. You’ll work exclusively onsite, fostering learning environments that are supportive, personalized, and impactful.

Openings span a variety of settings including autism-specific classrooms, developmental cognitive disabilities programs, itinerant Early Childhood Special Education, homebound services, and general special education across elementary and secondary grades. Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Minnesota teaching license in special education or a related field.
• Experience with autism spectrum disorders, developmental cognitive disabilities, or early childhood special education is highly valued.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Adaptable approach, comfortable supporting students in different settings (self-contained, itinerant, homebound, and inclusion).
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and inclusive educational practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver customized instruction and interventions tailored to students’ individual education plans.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related service staff, administrators, and families to ensure consistent support.
• Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with district and state requirements.
• Foster a positive, nurturing atmosphere to promote student confidence and achievement.
