A unique opportunity awaits for an onsite Special Education Teacher to make an impactful difference in a charter school community near Minneapolis. This contract position serves elementary students (K-6th) for the 2025/2026 school year, supporting a small caseload within a close-knit environment. With only 100 students enrolled, your work will have a visible, direct impact on each child’s educational journey.

Preferred Background and Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education licensure is required.
  • Candidates with a general education background and SPED experience may be considered (must hold a Gen Ed PELSB License T2-T4; an out-of-field form can be completed for the SPED role).
  • Experience working with elementary-age children.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusion, differentiation, and individualized instruction.
  • Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills.
  • Passion for nurturing growth in a charter school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized instruction and academic interventions for elementary students with special needs.
  • Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure cohesive educational plans.
  • Track student progress, adjust teaching strategies, and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Serve as an advocate, role model, and supporter for each student’s unique learning journey.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and school meetings.
