Step into an inspiring full-time opportunity supporting students with developmental and cognitive disabilities in a dynamic classroom environment for the 2026-2027 school year. Work alongside a dedicated educational team, fostering growth and independence for a caseload of approximately 6-10 students in a specialized Setting 3 classroom. This contract role offers the chance to make a real difference, all within one supportive school building near Minneapolis, MN.

Your role will revolve around planning and providing high-quality instruction tailored to students with DCD and ASD, ensuring each child’s educational experience is meaningful and individualized. Your expertise and passion will shape their progress and daily lives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Licensed Special Education Teacher with valid Tier 3 or Tier 4 credentials
  • Must hold either an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) or DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disabilities) endorsement
  • Experience teaching or supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities strongly preferred
  • Strong collaborative skills to partner with paraprofessionals, therapists, and school team members
  • Ability to maintain effective classroom management and create a nurturing, structured learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction designed to develop academic, behavioral, and social skills for each student
  • Implement IEPs and track student progress, adjusting approaches based on student needs
  • Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school leadership
  • Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and learning
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to IEP meetings and school initiatives

This position offers a stable Monday–Friday schedule with 37.5 contracted hours per week, spanning the entire school year.
