Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners by supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time contract opportunity focuses on leading a center-based Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom, serving kindergarten through second-grade students who benefit from high levels of behavioral and instructional support.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (EBD licensure strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated success working with students exhibiting significant behavioral needs
  • Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Skilled in behavioral intervention, de-escalation strategies, and classroom consultation
  • Strong communicator and effective collaborator within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Preferred: Experience in K–2 center-based special education, PBIS, CPI/restorative practices, and trauma-informed instruction
  • Level 3 behavior support setting experience highly valued

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional leadership and direct classroom support for six students with EBD
  • Design, implement, and regularly update individualized education plans and behavior intervention plans
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to foster a supportive, trauma-aware classroom environment
  • Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families to ensure student growth and well-being
  • Engage in ongoing assessment and problem-solving to adapt interventions as needed
  • Participate in professional meetings and contribute to a positive team culture

This position offers the opportunity to work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for the full school year, allowing for immersive involvement and professional development in a specialized educational setting.
