• Valid licensure/certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with diverse abilities, including developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education

• Adaptability and creativity in instructional planning and delivery
• Strong classroom management and data documentation skills
• Commitment to collaboration with families, staff, and related service providers

Key responsibilities:
• Develop individualized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student
• Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications in a variety of settings
• Collaborate in the assessment, ongoing progress monitoring, and evaluation of student goals
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to procedural timelines for IEPs and reporting
• Create a classroom environment that encourages engagement, independence, and positive behavior
• Communicate clearly with guardians, counselors, specialists, and administration to support whole-child development
• Provide guidance and support to paraprofessionals as needed
