This part-time position (.4 FTE) focuses on elementary-aged students and prioritizes candidates with expertise or a strong interest in working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), though applicants with other relevant special education credentials are encouraged.
This opportunity revolves around meaningful, consistent engagement. The selected candidate will work onsite, offering instruction and support five days a week for part of each school day, ensuring stability and continuity for students and collaborating closely with staff to deliver individualized education.
Ideal Background/Qualifications:
- Special Education teaching license; other comparable licenses will be considered
- Experience serving K–5 students in a school setting
- Knowledge and/or classroom background with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred
- Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and a compassionate, student-centered approach
