Make a lasting impact by supporting young learners in a collaborative, nurturing environment. This contract role is centered around providing specialized educational services for preschool children ages 3-5, focusing on their cognitive, social, emotional, communicative, and physical development. The position involves working in a center-based early childhood special education setting, where interventions are integrated into play-based daily routines. You’ll play an instrumental role in laying the foundation for future academic and social success.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Early Childhood Special Education license
  • Experience or strong interest in working with children ages 3-5 with disabilities
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones, early interventions, and IEP procedures
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with families, fellow teachers, and service providers
  • Competency in conducting student assessments and ongoing progress monitoring
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
  • Track and report student progress, adapting instruction to ensure growth
  • Conduct classroom observations and assessments to inform eligibility and instructional planning
  • Foster a supportive learning environment using positive behavioral and social-emotional strategies
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, offering guidance and feedback to maximize support for students
  • Partner with families and utilize play-based activities to embed learning opportunities within the daily routine

Enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule (8:00 am-4:00 pm), with morning sessions from 9:30-12:00 and afternoon sessions from 1:00-3:30.
