This full-time, contract position runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering the chance to develop meaningful relationships with a small, focused caseload of 6-10 elementary students.

Responsibilities will include designing and delivering individualized instruction within a supportive, collaborative environment. You’ll create tailored educational plans, implement effective behavioral strategies, and work closely with families and paraprofessionals to ensure each student receives the attention and resources needed for success. As the sole special education teacher in this classroom, you’ll have the autonomy to shape classroom culture and facilitate progress in both academic and social-emotional development.

Desired background and qualifications:

  • Valid teaching license with DCD or ASD endorsement (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • ABS licensure accepted; preference for those with EBD or ASD specialization
  • Proven experience teaching in a Setting 3 environment, particularly with EBD clusters
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices and evidence-based interventions for students with DCD/ASD
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a classroom independently
  • Commitment to collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and effective communication with families
