This contract opportunity offers involvement with multiple elementary locations in the Minneapolis area for the 2026-2027 school year, focusing on Center Based and Resource Special Education roles.

Positions are available for experienced educators who possess valid tier 3 or 4 Minnesota special education licenses and have at least two years of classroom teaching experience specifically in special education. Assignments include centers for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Development Cognitive Disorder (DCD), Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD), or Academic Behavior Strategist (ABS) endorsements—in high-need settings designed to make a direct impact.

Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota teaching license: Tier 3 or 4 in SPED (ASD, DCD, EBD, or ABS).
  • Minimum two years’ experience as a special education teacher (general education, paraprofessional, or substitute experience is not eligible).
  • Experience with center-based ASD/DCD or SEL programs highly valued.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Dedication to individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs across designated elementary schools.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state requirements.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to promote positive educational outcomes.
  • Foster an engaging, inclusive classroom environment tailored to varying student abilities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and participate in team meetings.

Role Details:

  • Contract duration: September 8, 2026 – June 10, 2027.
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week; positions distributed among several elementary sites based on endorsement area.
