This position spans from August 17, 2026 to June 3, 2027, focusing on resource and center-based programs within middle and elementary schools. You’ll play a pivotal role in facilitating academic and behavioral growth in students across several specialized classrooms.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in one or more of the following:
- Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Special Education: Developmental Disabilities
- Special Education: Early Childhood
- Special Education: Emotional Behavioral Disorders
- Special Education: Learning Disabilities
- Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (optional)
- Strong expertise in behavior management strategies and classroom structure
- Solid instructional skills and understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Proven track record of excellent attendance
- Ability to collaborate with general education staff, special education colleagues, and paraprofessionals
- Effective communicator and team player
Role Snapshot:
- Onsite position (not remote/virtual)
- 37.5 hours per week
- Multiple openings: 4 MS resource classroom roles, roles in ASD center-based programs (elementary), and a DCD center-based program (mild/moderate) at the middle school level
- Center-based programs serve students primarily requiring behavioral support with cross-categorical needs
- Active involvement in scheduling and working with paraprofessionals, building positive structures and routines
