Special Education Teacher | Minneapolis, Minnesota

Working full-time from 8am to 4pm, you will play a vital part in helping students succeed, focusing primarily on reading or math intervention.

Key Qualifications:

• Licensed Special Education Teacher, with credentials recognized in Minnesota
• Experience supporting multi-categorical students, particularly at the high school level
• Ability to work effectively with small groups or one-on-one settings (primarily 1-2 students at a time)
• Strong background or passion for reading or math instruction at the secondary level
• Flexible, collaborative, and dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment for students with varied disabilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction in reading or math based on students’ individual education plans
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and disabilities
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents, staff, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with general and special education staff
• Create an inclusive, supportive atmosphere that encourages academic and personal growth for each student
