Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement
  • Previous experience supporting secondary-level students with diverse learning needs
  • Ability to differentiate instruction in reading or math for high school students
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with educational teams
  • Skilled at building rapport and fostering trust with students from various backgrounds

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver individualized instruction in reading or math to small groups or one-on-one, targeting each student’s learning goals
  • Adapt and implement curriculum in accordance with IEPs and district guidelines
  • Maintain thorough records of student progress and provide input in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, families, and administrators to best support each learner
  • Promote an inclusive classroom culture that encourages academic and social growth
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in special education
