We're seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to join a supportive team for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. One role focuses on Elementary, while the second covers Upper Elementary with an extension into some Secondary support—offering you a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Your journey begins with valuable staff development sessions the week of August 24th and August 31st, setting you up for success before the school year kicks off for students on September 8th.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid state licensure/certification for Special Education
  • Experience working with Elementary or Secondary students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
  • Collaborative mindset, ready to work alongside general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that foster student growth
  • Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet the unique needs of students
  • Work directly with students in a resource or inclusive classroom setting
  • Collect data to monitor progress and inform instruction
  • Participate in staff development sessions in late August to prepare for the year
  • Engage in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that celebrates student strengths
