Special Education Teacher | Minneapolis, Minnesota

Exciting opportunities await for passionate Special Education Teachers eager to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment near Minneapolis, MN. Two full-time contract positions are available for the upcoming school year, with roles in both Elementary and Upper Elementary/Secondary settings. You’ll work in resource positions, guiding and supporting students on individualized education paths.

Ideal candidates bring compassion, flexibility, and expertise to a collaborative teaching team, supporting caseloads of 20-30 students. Current SPED licensure is required—T2-T4 ABS, Autism, or other special education endorsements are welcome, allowing you to leverage your unique skills and experience.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher license (T2-T4 ABS, Autism, or other special education areas)
• Experience with resource room models preferred
• Ability to effectively manage caseloads of 20-30 students
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Comfort working across elementary, upper elementary, and some secondary grade levels
• Commitment to inclusive education and individualized student growth

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction and support in a resource setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure student progress
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, service providers, and families
• Participate in student evaluations, team meetings, and data tracking
• Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture that promotes student independence and confidence

Professional development will be provided the week of 8/24 and 8/31, offering an opportunity to start the year with shared training and support. The school year officially begins for students on 9/8.
