Special Education Teacher | Minneapolis, Minnesota

Step into a meaningful contract position supporting students in a diverse educational environment as a Special Education Teacher. Multiple full-time opportunities are available, including a 0.5 FTE high school position. With roles spanning from early childhood to transition and secondary settings, you’ll work alongside dedicated professionals to create inclusive and supportive learning experiences.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License is required
• ASD endorsement preferred, especially for transition center assignments
• Prior experience in school-based special education settings is highly valued
• Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, and staff
• Strong advocacy skills and a passion for differentiated, student-centered instruction
• Adaptability to serve students across a range of sites and needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet student goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure students’ success
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies to address diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Engage effectively with families, participating in meetings and providing regular updates
• Participate in professional development and school-based meetings as required
