Special Education Teacher - Minneapolis, MN

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for grades 7-12 just outside Minneapolis, MN. You’ll provide essential guidance and instruction to a dynamic resource classroom, working closely with both the students and a dedicated team of colleagues. Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Minnesota Special Education Teacher license is required
• Experience working with middle and high school students desirable
• Background or interest in resource classrooms and co-teaching environments is a plus
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to a resource classroom of 20-25 students in grades 7-12
• Collaborate daily with two other teachers in a supportive co-teaching model
• Coordinate with paraprofessionals to ensure students receive appropriate support and accommodations
• Develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet diverse learner needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that cultivates student growth and independence
• Communicate regularly with families, staff, and administration to monitor progress
