Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of Minnesota
• Experience working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and/or 9-12
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to adapt instructional methods and materials to fit diverse learning styles
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and parents
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, positive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct special education instruction and support to students with varying needs
• Assess student abilities and design individualized lesson plans and accommodations
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for student progress and reporting
• Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and collaboration efforts
• Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom atmosphere
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and support staff regarding student progress
