Special Education Teacher in Minturn, CO

Two contract opportunities are available for passionate Special Education Teachers to make a meaningful impact at the early childhood and middle school levels. You'll have the chance to build strong relationships and provide specialized instruction for students with diverse needs in a beautiful mountain community.

The first position focuses on early childhood, serving PreK students (ages 3-5) with a caseload of 10-20 across multiple sites. The second position supports 6th to 8th graders (ages 10-14) with a caseload of 22 students in a dynamic middle school setting. Both roles are full-time, Monday through Friday, with schedules that allow for great work-life balance.

Ideal candidates bring:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
• Experience with early childhood or middle school populations (depending on position)
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
• Skill in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility working across multiple sites (early childhood role)
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom environment

Core responsibilities include:

• Designing and delivering targeted instruction tailored to each student's unique needs
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEP goals and progress

• Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with all regulations

Compensation for these exciting opportunities has been approved at $82.58 per hour. Both positions offer full-time schedules (40 hours per week) within family-friendly hours, maximizing your evenings and weekends for personal pursuits.
