Special Education Teacher - Minturn, Colorado

Make a meaningful impact in early childhood education by supporting PreK learners as a Special Education Teacher. Two contract positions are available for passionate professionals committed to fostering inclusive learning environments. With assignments spanning multiple sites, your expertise will guide the youngest students to realize their potential in engaging, supportive classrooms.

In this role, you’ll be working a full-time schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and collaborating closely with other educators to design and implement personalized educational plans. The typical caseload ranges from 10 to 20 students, offering opportunities to focus on individual growth and group milestones.

Ideal candidates bring experience and enthusiasm for working with young children, especially those with varied learning needs. Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential, as you’ll coordinate with families and multi-disciplinary teams to support student success across several school sites.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Previous experience teaching or supporting students in early childhood or PreK settings
• Knowledge of current IEP processes and best practices in early intervention
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and tailor behavioral supports
• Collaborative nature and willingness to travel between multiple locations within the district

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans for each student
• Use evidence-based interventions to promote learning and positive behaviors
• Regularly assess progress and adjust strategies as needed
