Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities or in special education classrooms
• Strong understanding of IEPs, goal setting, and progress monitoring
• Adaptable, patient, and dedicated to student growth and success
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans in alignment with IEPs
• Modify curriculum and teaching approaches to address a wide range of learning abilities
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and safe classroom environment
• Assess and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to plans
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations are met
• Provide regular updates to parents, guardians, and IEP teams
• Participate in and/or lead IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
