Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching credential in either Special Education (SPED) or General Education from the state of California
  • Previous experience teaching in a classroom setting (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
  • Ability to foster a supportive, inclusive classroom climate
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills with students, families, and staff
  • Organizational skills to effectively manage lesson planning, assessments, and student progress

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Implement and monitor accommodations, modifications, and behavioral strategies
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow educators, support staff, and families to promote student achievement and well-being
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and relevant school functions
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress
  • Encourage student participation, independence, and confidence through positive reinforcement
