Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students who have a range of learning and behavioral needs
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different grade levels and intervention requirements
• Positive, proactive attitude towards collaboration with staff, families, and service providers

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and execute curriculum adaptations for students in either an 8-student middle school classroom requiring intense interventions or in an elementary (K-2) setting for mild intervention
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Implement and monitor IEP goals, collecting data and adjusting strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and related service professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Communicate progress and strategies regularly to families
