Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid Educator Certification required; be prepared to present verification.
• Experience working with students in a self-contained special education setting preferred.
• Skilled in managing classroom caseloads (K–5th grade) and differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to fostering inclusive and supportive environments.
• Comfortable assisting with some toileting needs and collaborating with support staff.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities to coordinate with teams and families.
• Candidates with travel backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
• Must be willing to work onsite throughout the assignment term.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction to a caseload of up to 20 students, with responsibilities shared between two Special Education Teachers.
• Develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and adapt strategies as needed.
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom culture to promote learning and social-emotional growth.
• Collaborate with staff, administrators, and families to ensure student success.
• Assist with daily life skills and personal care as needed, promoting independence.

This contract runs through the school year with a 35-hour work week (7:45am–3:15pm, Monday to Friday) and offers the chance to bridge a crucial gap in special education services.
