Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience or interest in self-contained classrooms
  • Comfort with assisting younger students (K–5), including some toileting support as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction, classroom management, and IEP implementation for a caseload divided between two SPED teachers (serving approximately 10 students each)
  • Work full-time (35 hours/week, 7:45am-3:15pm) at a single elementary school site
  • Support the goal of individualized care and academic progress for each student
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
