Openings include:
- 2 Elementary Developmental classrooms (15 students each; 6 assistants; focus on behavioral, ASD, and communication needs)
- 1 Elementary Behavior (Grades 3-5; 16 students; 5 assistants)
- 1 Middle School Resource (40 students; 2 shared assistants)
- 1 Elementary Resource (across 2 close sites; 35 students; 1 assistant per building)
- 1 Middle School Behavior (15 students; 5 assistants)
What we're looking for:
- Current and valid Oregon Special Education teaching certification/license
- Experience in special education environments (developmental, behavior, ASD, resource preferred)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Able to work fully onsite, full-time (37.5 hours/week)
- Capacity to adapt to the unique needs of each class and support staff effectively
- Ready access to contact information for your most recent supervisor reference
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized and group instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Collaborating with assistants and related service providers
- Collecting and reporting on student data and progress
- Creating and maintaining a safe, encouraging learning space
- Active participation in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff meetings
