Special Education Teacher | Moncks Corner, South Carolina

The current classroom serves students in grades 3-6, but flexibility to assist students across K-8 is a plus. The class consists of nine remarkable learners who receive instruction in a dedicated setting throughout the full school day, ensuring continuity and stability.

Your strong support system includes four classroom aides and dedicated full-time ABA support, all working collaboratively to foster an engaging, positive, and inclusive environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Experience working in a self-contained or similar classroom setting
• Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of abilities within mild to moderate settings
• Familiarity with behavioral interventions and collaboration with ABA professionals
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Compassion, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized lessons aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Collaborate closely with aides and ABA professionals to implement strategies and interventions
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to promote growth
• Create a structured, supportive class environment that encourages participation and success
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with families and staff
• Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development across all activities
