Special Education Teacher - Moncks Corner, SC

Key Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education License (SC SPED LICENSE) is required
• Experience working within a cross-categorical elementary setting is highly desirable
• Ability to develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
• Commitment to collaborating with general educators, support staff, and families
• “Teachers for Tomorrow” licensure is not accepted for this position

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders in a cross-categorical environment
• Develop targeted lesson plans to meet each student’s academic, behavioral, and social goals
• Track, measure, and document student progress in accordance with IEPs
• Create an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere that fosters student growth
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
• Work effectively with related service providers, administrators, and team members to best support students
