Qualifications:

  • Current and valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license
  • Experience with one or more of the following: mild disabilities, autism, multiple severe disabilities, preschool, and emotional disturbance preferred

  • Commitment to onsite teaching for the entirety of the contract
  • No “Teachers for Tomorrow” licensing

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to assigned caseload in elementary school settings (preference for site/caseload considered)
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students’ needs
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and allied professionals
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Track progress and provide regular reports on student development
