Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for the state
- Proven experience working with diverse student populations, including individuals with various disabilities
- Strong IEP (Individualized Education Program) knowledge and case management experience
- Comfortable collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and support personnel
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability in a school setting
- Passion for fostering student growth in both academic and social-emotional areas
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans for students on your caseload
- Provide direct academic, behavioral, and/or functional support both in inclusive and small group settings
- Keep clear and thorough progress records and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team collaborations
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to help every student achieve growth benchmarks
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive classroom culture
- Adjust lesson plans and supports according to student needs and progress
