Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher working onsite within supportive school environments near Monmouth, OR. You'll be immersed in specialized settings, collaborating closely with dedicated support staff and making an impact across various age groups. Multiple openings are available, each offering meaningful engagement with students who have diverse educational needs, including developmental, behavioral, ASD, and communication challenges.

Immediate start available, with contracts running through June 5, 2026. Positions are full-time (37.5 hours/week) and encompass:

Open Positions:

  • Elementary Developmental (2 openings): Work with classes of 15 students supported by 6 assistants, addressing behavioral, ASD, and communication needs.
  • Elementary Behavior: Focus on grades 3-5 in a class of 16 students, with 5 assistants providing robust team support.
  • Middle School Resource: Serve 40 students alongside 2 shared assistants, emphasizing individualized learning plans.
  • Elementary Resource: Support students across two nearby sites (2 miles apart), each with dedicated assistant support.
  • Middle School Behavior: Engage with 15 students with behavior needs, aided by a strong team of 5 assistants.

Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education certification/license in the state of Oregon is required.
  • Ability to provide contact information for your most recent supervisor for reference.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for guiding students with various special needs.
  • Commitment to facilitating learning in an onsite, classroom-based environment throughout the contract term.
