Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students with diverse needs in a collaborative educational environment. Multiple full-time positions are available for dedicated Special Education professionals to work onsite in varying K-12 settings, with assignments shaped by your experience and preferences. The contract runs from September 9, 2026, through June 26, 2027.
You'll have the chance to make an impact in one of the following settings:
- Middle school life skills program: Serve 12 students alongside 4 instructional assistants, with a combination of behavioral and academic support needs.
- Elementary K-2 developmental classroom: Guide 16 students (some non-verbal), supported by 5 instructional assistants, focusing on foundational functional routines and basic skills.
- Two openings within an elementary behavioral program (grades 3-5) at an intensive Behavioral Health Center: Support approximately 13 students with the collaboration of 4 instructional assistants.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Previous experience working with students with varying disabilities and support needs, preferably in a school setting
- Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Adaptability to work across a variety of caseloads and ages
- Commitment to helping all students reach their potential
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with related service providers, families, and support staff
- Create a positive, structured, student-centered learning environment
- Collect and analyze data to inform instruction and behavioral supports
- Adapt curriculum to meet the diverse abilities and needs of your caseload
