Middle School Early Childhood Education (ECE) Special Education Teacher - Monroe, New York

The contract begins following the completion of background checks, continuing through June 26, 2026, with an optional six-week summer program for those interested in enriching their experience.

You’ll be working a consistent 35 hours per week with manageable class sizes designed to promote individualized attention:

• The largest class has 12 students with one teacher.
• Additional classes have 8 or 6 students, each supported by a team of teaching staff (3 support staff per classroom for smaller groups).
• Students have a range of abilities; some are verbal, some non-verbal, and staff are well-trained to support children with behavioral needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Special Education Teacher Certification for the appropriate grade levels
• Master’s degree in Education
• Experience or strong interest in Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, or High School settings
• Capacity to adapt strategies to support students’ diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Commitment to collaborative, team-based approaches with support staff
