Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for California
- Experience working with students identified with mild to moderate disabilities
- Strong commitment to individualized instruction and differentiated learning strategies
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and specialists
- Ability to maintain records, track progress, and implement IEPs successfully
- Comfortable working on-site, with potential consideration for VOCO (virtual/on-campus)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for a caseload of 28 or fewer students
- Provide engaging, tailored instruction that addresses academic, social, and behavioral goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators
- Communicate student progress and needs to families and participate in IEP meetings
- Utilize assessments and progress monitoring tools to inform instructional planning
- Cultivate an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that empowers every student
