Special Education Teacher in Montesano, WA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in Washington, or eligibility to obtain
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Previous experience teaching or supporting students with disabilities preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt lessons to accommodate various learning styles and needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess specialized instruction geared toward students’ unique learning needs
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Work closely with general education teachers, staff, families, and related service providers
• Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Maintain accurate student records and timely documentation
• Participate in professional development and ongoing training
