Key Qualifications:
- Current certification in Special Education (appropriate state credentials required)
- Experience or strong interest in working with pre-school adaptive programs
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation for young learners
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, aides, and classroom teachers
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching practices
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction to pre-school students with varying adaptive and cognitive needs
- Implement specialized strategies and interventions tailored to each child’s IEP goals
- Foster an encouraging and accommodating classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families, colleagues, and related service providers
- Track student progress, document observations, and contribute to IEP meetings and updates
- Participate in professional development as required by the school or district
