Special Education Teacher | Montezuma, Georgia

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (SPED 26/27 or equivalent).
• Experience working with pre-school age children is highly preferred.
• Strong background in implementing adaptive instruction for students with varying abilities.
• Ability to create engaging, individualized lesson plans.
• Skilled in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with parents and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide adaptive instruction to pre-school students based on individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and aides to support student learning and inclusion.
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
• Engage families in the educational process and maintain open, consistent communication.
• Foster a nurturing classroom environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and independence.
• Document and report student progress in line with school and district policies.
