This contract opportunity focuses on delivering homebound instruction to a 3rd grade life skills student, with a consistent weekly schedule and the chance to make meaningful connections. The position begins as soon as possible and extends through the ESY period (exact end date to be confirmed), with the full school year continuing from August 12, 2026, to May 22, 2027.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Previous experience with special education and/or life skills classrooms preferred
  • Familiarity with homebound instruction or willingness to provide individualized support
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work onsite and collaborate with school teams and families
  • Commitment to accommodating diverse learning needs and implementing IEP goals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 6 hours weekly of homebound instruction (4 hours instructional, 2 compensatory services) to a 3rd grade student
  • Provide lessons tailored to life skills and academic development
  • Track and report on student progress in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with district staff, families, and specialists to optimize student growth
  • Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines
