An exciting opportunity awaits experienced Special Education Teachers interested in making a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment near Montpelier, VT. This contract position is available for the 2026-2027 academic year, spanning from August 28, 2026, to June 18, 2027. You will have the chance to provide in-person support to students while collaborating with dedicated colleagues. The role offers full-time hours at 37.5 per week and includes three positions at the middle and high school levels.
Your expertise will shape learners’ experiences—whether you are providing direct services and case management at the middle or high school levels, or offering in-person instruction backed by a remote case coordinator. The focus is on direct engagement with students, ensuring they receive personalized support to thrive academically and socially.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold active Special Education Teacher credentials appropriate to state requirements
- Demonstrated experience working within K-12 or middle/high school settings
- Strong understanding of case management and IEP implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Committed to in-person instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Manage caseloads, including developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, remote coordinators, and support staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication
