Desired Skills & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience developing and adapting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills for interaction with parents, staff, and students
• Ability to implement a variety of instructional strategies tailored to student needs
• Patience and creativity in supporting learners with diverse challenges
• Previous experience in a school environment preferred

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and review IEPs to address student goals
• Modify curriculum and lessons to accommodate individual learning differences
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate
• Collect data and monitor student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service personnel
• Communicate regularly with families and advocate for students’ educational needs
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
• Ensure compliance with all local and federal regulations for special education
