A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Special Education Teacher to work with elementary students in a mild/moderate resource or inclusion environment. This full-time, contract position begins August 12, 2026, and continues through the end of the 2026-2027 school year. The assignment focuses on direct instruction and robust support for students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive school community.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current Colorado Special Education License or eligibility to obtain one via reciprocity
  • Preferred background working with elementary-aged children
  • Expertise in Individualized Education Program (IEP) compliance and special education requirements
  • Familiarity with resource and inclusion support models
  • Collaborative team mindset, willing to engage with educators, families, and other professionals to serve students’ needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and academic interventions to elementary students with mild/moderate disabilities
  • Develop, execute, and closely monitor progress of IEPs for assigned students
  • Maintain thorough compliance documentation and conduct regular student progress reviews
  • Participate productively in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Communicate proactively with general education teachers, families, and related service providers
  • Promote student growth by addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals

Onsite presence is preferred, but candidates interested in hybrid arrangements may be considered based on district needs and candidate qualifications.
