Special Ed Teacher - Monument, Colorado

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary school students preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Skills in differentiation and adaptive instruction
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and promoting inclusion

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 12 students, ensuring individualized goals are met
• Develop and execute lesson plans tailored to student needs
• Collect data and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
• Prepare and maintain IEPs, reports, and documentation in compliance with guidelines
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to support student achievement
• Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment
• Participate in professional development opportunities and school meetings
